At Navy: Enters the fall second on the depth chart at linebacker ... had a very good spring camp ... has good size and speed ... plays hard and is always running to the football.

2011: Appeared in two games, including his collegiate debut as a member of special teams against Rutgers ... also saw action against Notre Dame.

2010: Did not see any varsity action.

High School / Personal: A 2009 graduate of Kalaheo High School, Reed attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2009-10 academic year ... a three-year football letterwinner who was an All-OIA selection as a senior ... the state sport of Hawaii and an interscholastic high school sport, Reed was the state outrigger canoe racing/paddling champion ... named the defensive player of the year at NAPS ... son of John and Mary Reed ... majoring in oceanography.
