Two Navy Football Players Selected For Major Leadership Positions

Joe Worth named Brigade Commander; Shakir Robinson Regimental Commander

At Navy: Enters the fall as a starter at slot back ... one of Navy's most valuable players ... one of the best blockers on the team ... does a great job of making plays on the punt and kickoff teams ... has a motor that never stops ... outstanding student whose career aspiration is to be an astronaut ... carries a 3.20 GPA in one of the toughest majors at the Naval Academy ... has a tremendous attitude and never has a bad day ... has just 3.9 percent body fat ... has a vertical leap of 36-3 ... transfer from Georgia Tech ... has earned two varsity letters.

2006: Started all 13 games at slot back ... named Academic All-District by ESPN The Magazine ... recorded a team-high 15 tackles on special teams ... carried the ball 26 times for 191 yards and one touchdown .. caught four passes for 60 yards ... picked up 12 yards on two carrries against East Carolina ... ran for a then career-high 14 yards on two carries against UMass ... ran the ball once for 16 yards in the loss to Tulsa ... ran twice for two yards and caught a pass for 23 yards in the win over UConn ... ran once for eight yards and registered a tackle on special teams against Air Force ... ran the ball twice for five yards and caught one pass for 22 yards in the loss to Rutgers ... ran for a career-high 34 yards on four carries and caught one pass for nine yards against Notre Dame ... ran the ball three times for 18 yards in the win over Duke ... ran the ball three times for nine yards against Eastern Michigan ... picked up two tackles on special teams against Temple ... rushed for a career-high 71 yards and scored his first-career touchdown on just six carries against Boston College in the Meineke Car Care Bowl .

2005: Saw action in all 12 games, mostly on special teams ... did run the ball one time for three yards against Stanford ... picked up 10 tackles on special teams, making two stops against Duke and Temple ... had one tackle in a game six different times.

2004: Sat out the year after transferring from Georgia Tech.

2003: Was a member of the football team at Georgia Tech, but did not see any action.

High School / Personal: Earned three letters in football at Columbia High School ... was named 2002 team captain and earned All-City Metro Team and team MVP honors, as well ... named to the all-county academic team twice ... also a standout wrestler, claiming the 2003 Georgia State Championship at 135 pounds ...
