Jan. 13, 2014
Navy sophomore quarterback Keenan Reynolds will be one of the honorees at the 110th annual Philadelphia Sportswriters Dinner on Monday, January 27 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Reynolds will be honored for the second-consecutive year as the Most Valuable Player in the Army-Navy game. Reynolds rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns to help lead Navy to a 34-7 victory over Saturday, the Mids 12th-straight in the series.
The Philadelphia Sportswriters Dinner is always a star-studded affair and this year will be no different. The Philadelphia Eagles will receive the prestigious Team of the Year award, while wide receiver Jason Avant will pick up the organization’s Good Guy award. Former Navy and Temple head coach and 2013 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Wayne Hardin will be honored as will current Wisconsin men’s basketball coach and West Chester native Bo Ryan. New Philadelphia Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg will also be in attendance.
