The game date for the 2010 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl was made official today.

The 6th annual San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl will kick off at 5 p.m. PST on Thursday, December 23rd at Qualcomm Stadium. The bowl will air on ESPN and match a team from the Mountain West Conference against the bowl-eligible Naval Academy Midshipmen.

This will be Navy's third appearance in the bowl game. They defeated Colorado State 51-30 in the inaugural game, and lost to Utah 35-32 in 2007. The Mountain West Conference has sent a team to the bowl each of the games' five years and boasts a 4-1 record.

Last year's game featured a 37-27 Utah victory over California in front of 32,665 fans. The game garnered a 2.8 national television rating on ESPN.
