ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The 2009 Navy football team will visit the White House on Monday, May 3 for a ceremony with President Barack Obama. The team will be honored for winning the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for a school record seventh-consecutive year. The time and location of the ceremony has not been officially announced by the White House.

Navy was victorious over Air Force (16-13 in overtime) and Army (17-3) to cap a perfect 8-0 mark by the Navy senior class against the other two Service Academies. The Mids have won a record 15-straight Service Academy games dating back to the 2002 Army-Navy game and the Mids have not given up an offensive touchdown to the other two Service Academies in 12 quarters plus one overtime.

Navy finished the 2009 campaign with a school record tying 10 wins and a school-record seventh-straight bowl appearance. Navy won the Texas Bowl in a 35-13 rout of Missouri.
