Mids projected to go 8-5, play Colorado in the Texas Bowl

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The Athlon College Football Magazine projects Navy to go 8-5 during the 2009 regular season and play Colorado in the Texas Bowl. The Midshipmen were ranked as the 63rd best team in the country.

Athlon projects Navy to lose to Ohio State (ranked fifth), Notre Dame (24th), Pitt (41st), Wake Forest (47th) and Air Force (60th). Navy is favored to beat Louisiana Tech (71st), Hawai'I (85th), SMU (98th), Rice (104th), Army (107th), Temple (110th), Western Kentucky (120th) and Delaware (was not ranked among the Top 20 FCS schools).
