Mids expected to win the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for a seventh-straight year

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Lindy's Preseason College Football Magazine projects Navy to go 9-4 during the 2009 season and pick up a seventh-consecutive Commander-In-Chief's Trophy. The Mids, ranked 66th by the magazine, are expected to beat Louisiana Tech (ranked 75th), Air Force (77th), Hawaii (89th), Temple (104th), SMU (106th), Rice (108th), Army (112th) and Western Kentucky (120th), while losing to Ohio State (8th), Wake Forest (30th), Notre Dame (37th) and Pittsburgh (41st).
