ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy Athletics and CBS College Sports are offering fans a free preview of the new Navy All-Access multimedia player that recently was added to www.NavySports.com(.)
All fans have the opportunity to try the new player and enjoy all of the current Navy All-Access content between now and August 9 at no charge (note: current subscribers will be unable to log-in to their account during this time due to system maintenance upgrades, but will still be able to view all of the Navy All-Access content through the free preview).
Highlighting this span will be a free video stream of the August 5 Navy football media day press conference. The press conference is slated to start that day at approximately 5 p.m. EDT.
New features of the player include expanded video navigation controls, advanced search functions and full-screen picture mode for easier viewing. Additionally, the new on-page video player interface is compatible with Adobe Flash-enabled web browsers.
Some of the other new features of the player include:
* Video jogging for fast forwarding/rewinding
* Tabbed audio/video menu
* Thumbnails of video items in menu
* Unique video links for easy link sharing
* "Share" function to send links to social media sites
* E-mail to a friend function
* New loading/buffering indicators
Once the free preview period has been completed, only new or returning subscribers to Navy All-Access will be able to view the available content. Subscribers will receive video streams of taped weekly post-practice and post-game press conferences with head football coach Ken Niumatalolo, live coverage of nearly every home men's and women's basketball game, audio and video coverage of additional Navy sports teams and select Patriot League Championship events.
A one-year subscription to Navy All-Access costs $79.95, while a monthly subscription runs $9.95.
