Oct. 9, 2012
Freshman quarterback Keenan Reynolds has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Rolls Royce.
Reynolds came off the bench to replace injured starter Trey Miller with 9:35 left in the game and rallied Navy to 15-consecutive points and a 28-21 overtime victory over Air Force.
On his first drive, Reynolds drove the Mids 75 yards on six plays completing all three of his pass attempts for 55 yards and scoring on a 15-yard run. Reynolds then executed a perfect double option with Noah Copeland for the game-tying two point conversion. He finished the day with three carries for 22 yards and a touchdown and was 3-3 passing for 55 yards.
