The Navy football team (6-3) is bowl eligible for the sixth-straight year and for the 14th time in the last 15 years thanks to a 43-40 victory over SMU (6-4) on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Sophomore quarterback Malcolm Perry rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns on 33 carries, while kicker J.R. Osborn kicked an 18-yard field goal at time expired to give Navy the win. It was Osborn’s first career attempt of any kind (field goal or extra-point).
