Keenan Reynolds Named NAAA Athlete Of The Week Presented By Rolls Royce
Dec. 14, 2012
Freshman quarterback Keenan Reynolds has been named the Naval Academy Athletic Association Player of the Week presented by Rolls Royce.
Reynolds completed 10 of his 17 passes for 130 yards, while rushing for 43 yards and the game-winning touchdown in Navy's 17-13 victory over Army on Saturday. The win was Navy's 11th-straight over the Black Knights and earned the Midshipmen a trip to the White House as winners of the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy for the eighth time in the last 10 years.
Reynolds' 49-yard pass to Brandon Turner set up his game-winning touchdown run. Navy is 6-1 since Reynolds took over the starting quarterback job on Oct. 13. He was named the Philadelphia Sportswriters Most Valuable Player for the Army-Navy game as well.
Reynolds and his teammates will fly to San Francisco on Dec. 24 for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. The Mids will play Arizona State on Saturday, Dec. 29 at AT&T Park. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM (PT), 4:00 PM in Annapolis.
