NCAA Rushing Title Up For Grabs Over The Next Two Days

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Navy's bid for an unprecedented fourth-consecutive NCAA team rushing title will be determined over the next two days as the four teams that have a chance to pass the Mids will play in their respective bowl games. Navy, which has won the rushing title in five of the last six seasons, is currently in first place with an average of 292.38 yards per contest.

Nevada, which entered bowl season in second place, enters today's Humanitarian Bowl game against Maryland 304 yards behind the Midshipmen, while Oregon is 467 yards behind Navy entering tonight's Holiday Bowl game against Oklahoma State.

Air Force, which plays Houston tomorrow in the Armed Forces Bowl, is 574 yards behind Navy, while Georgia Tech enters their New Year's Eve tilt against LSU 413 yards behind the Midshipmen.
