RALEIGH, N.C. - The Navy men's golf team finished the first day of the Wolfpack Spring Open tied for 15th place with an overall score of 315 (+27). North Carolina State is hosting the 36-hole invite at the par-72 Lonnie Poole Golf Course. Lamar is currently in first place with an overall team score of 292 (+4).
Freshman Bryce Keene (Bakersfield, Calif.) and sophomore Drew Selby (Charlotte, N.C.) each shot a 77 (+5) to pace Navy's efforts on Saturday. Keene and Selby are tied for 38th place.
Sophomore Chris House, a Raleigh native, is tied for 64th place with an 8-over par 80.
Senior Tim Shield (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) and senior Peter Reilly (Merrimack, N.H.) both shot 81s (+9) to finish the first day tied for 72nd.
Navy will conclude action at the Wolfpack Spring Open on Sunday with the final 18 holes.
