CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Thirty-four student-athletes have been named to the 2013 Patriot League Men's Golf Academic Honor Roll, including Scholar-Athlete of the Year Chris House (Raleigh, N.C.) of Navy. House, a junior who won the individual title at the Patriot League Men's Golf Championship and competed at the NCAA Baton Rouge Golf Regional, added another major accomplishment by achieving a 4.00 grade-point average in the spring semester.
Navy's Pat Collins (Floral Park, N.Y.) and Chris Reed (Springfield, Ohio) graduated in May having been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll all four years, while House and classmate Bobby Keating (Garden City, N.Y.) have garnered recognition three times. Rising juniors Brad Elder (Roanoke, Va.) and Bryce Keene have twice been honored, while rising junior Colby Lederer (Levittown, Pa.) and rising sophomore David Won (Bothell, Wash.) made the list for the first time.
House was one of five student-athletes to reach a GPA of 4.00 or better in the spring, with Colgate's Jake Caldwell and Alex Lagowitz and Lafayette's Josh Feinberg and David Kafafian also pulling off the feat.
Bucknell and Navy led all Patriot League schools with eight student-athletes making the Academic Honor Roll, while Lafayette had six and Colgate and Holy Cross each recorded four.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average during the spring semester. Student-athletes representing all four classes are eligible for the award.
