Gymnastics to Host William & Mary and Temple on Saturday
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men’s gymnastics team will be in action this Saturday afternoon with a tri-meet versus William & Mary and Temple. After a fast start to their 2018 campaign with a second place finish at the West Point Open on Jan. 12 and a first place result at the Navy Open on Jan. 20, the team currently stands seventh in the nation based on scoring average. The action at Macdonough Hall begins at 2 p.m. Saturday’s competition is the final for Navy before the team faces off with Army in the 2018 Star Meet on Feb. 3.

During the 2017 season, Navy split a pair of dual-meet competitions versus William & Mary with a 409.4-401.3 victory at home on Jan. 28 and a 394.3-393.5 loss on the road on March 3.
Last Time Out
One week ago, these three teams all tested themselves at the Navy Open with the host Mids scoring 398.2 points, the Tribe 383.5 points and the short-handed Owls, 150.3 points.
Navy's depth spearheaded the victory as 10 different gymnasts turned in top-seven results, including event victories by four individuals: David Toussaint on the pommel horse, Tanner West on the rings, Trevor North on the parallel bars and Ben Provost on the high bar.
As a team, Navy posted a 68.6 on the floor exercise, a 63.05 on the pommel horse, a 64.4 on the rings, a 68.2 on the vault, a 67.05 on the parallel bars and a 66.9 on the high bar.
