No. 13 Gymnastics Falls to No. 10 Army in the Star Meet

West Point, N.Y. - The 13th-ranked Navy gymnastics team dropped a tough 212.95-206.225 decision to No. 10 Army in the Star Meet Saturday in West Point, N.Y.
Junior Ben Peterman (Amherst, Mass.) turned in a solid all-around performance as he finished second in the competition with a career-high score of 51.80. He recorded a pair of third-place finishes in the floor exercise (8.8) and on the pommel horse (8.7).
Freshman Christopher Tam (Draper, Utah) continued his string of solid all-around performances, as he placed third with a 50.6. Tam's highlight of the night was a second-place performance on the high bar with a total score of 8.7.
Senior captain Josh Blackman (Fayetteville, Ga.) placed third in the individual all-around competition with an average of 49.8.
Sophomore Sean Blackman (Fayetteville, Ga.) had a strong showing on the still rings with a second-place finish with a score of 9.575.
Army has won three-straight Star Meets and now leads the all-time series 40-29-2.
