ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Following his first-place performance on the vault and in the all-around last Saturday, Navy's Andrew Faulk (Fr./San Antonio, Texas) has been recognized as the national Collegiate Division Gymnast of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Faulk is the second Navy gymnast to earn national honors this season. Fellow all-around gymnast Dylan Parrott (So./Rockwell, N.C.) earned the award following his performances in the Navy Open and the All-Academy Championship.

During Navy's home finale tri-meet against William & Mary and Springfield last Saturday, Faulk scored higher than a 13.5 on all-six events to produce a career-high score of 85.15 points in the all-around. Two weeks after earning an eye-popping 16.05 on the vault at the All-Academy Championship, he won the vault with a stellar score of 15.7 points. The Navy freshman also placed second on the high bar with a 14.2-point performance.

With the help of Faulk, Navy produced a season-high team score of 336.05 points to knock off both William & Mary (333.4 points) and Springfield (328.1 points).

The Midshipmen, ranked 13th nationally and off to an impressive 14-1 start, head to Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg, Va., to take on No. 15 William & Mary and No. 8 Penn State this Sunday at 2 p.m.
