April 12, 2012
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - After capturing the all-around and three individual titles at the ECAC Championships last weekend, Navy senior gymnast Andrew Faulk has been named USAG Collegiate Division National Gymnast of the Week. Current head coaches and lifetime Collegiate Gymnastics Association members select the weekly award.
Last weekend, Faulk had one of the most successful two-day performances of his career as he won ECAC championships in the all-around, pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar. He was also named ECAC Gymnast of the Year as he posted career-high scores on both the parallel bars (14.7) and high bar (14.8).
Earlier this week, the Nissen-Emery Award finalist was selected to compete in the NCAA Qualifying Meet on April 19 in Norman, Okla. Faulk will be making his fourth consecutive appearance at the national qualifier as he looks to advance to the NCAA finals on April 20-21.
