Dove in 2017 (Sr.): Enters his senior year as Navy’s career record holder in faceoff wins with 468 ... broke the record on the opening draw of the second half of the Loyola game last season ... Chris Pieczonka (2002-05) was the previous record holder with 363 set in 46 games ... Dove topped Pieczonka in his 34th career game ... is the first player in school history and only the ninth in Patriot League history (25 yrs) to reach 400 faceoff wins ... achieved the feat following the Mids’ fifth goal in their 12-3 victory over Holy Cross ... his 468 faceoff wins are the sixth most in Patriot League history ... trails fifth-place Ryan Snyder of Lehigh (2010-13) by 5 and fourth-place Tom Weiss of Lehigh (2003-06) by 11 ... one of four active players in the league on the list along with Graham Savio of Loyola (#2), Sam Talkow of Boston U. 2016 (Jr.): A three-time All-Patriot League selection, he was named to the league’s second team as a junior ... finished his junior year ranked #17 nationally in faceoff winning percentage (158-273, 57.9) and #17 in ground balls per game (5.44) ... his 158 faceoffs are the third most in program history, just 15 off the school record ... he is the only player in school history to win 100 faceoffs three times in a career and the only player to appear on the list three times (#2 with 163 in 2014, #3 with 158 in 2016 and #6 with 147 in 2015) ... his 87 ground balls in 2016 are tied as the second most on the Mids’ single-season leader board, just 6 off the program record ... its the most since William Wallace also grabbed 87 ground balls in 2006 ... he is the only player in program history whose name appears three times on the list (#T2 with 87 in 2016, #5 with 83 in 2014 and #7 with 78 in 2015) ... won just 6 of the 20 draws he took against Brown’s Will Gural in the NCAA Quarterfinals ... Gural stood #2 nationally, winning nearly 70 percent of his draws ... teamed up with Joe Varello to win 16 of the 26 draws against Yale in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament ... Dove claimed 11 of the 19 faceoffs he took in the contest ... also picked up a team-best 6 ground balls ... took all but one draw in the win over Sacred Heart, winning 7 of 10 faceoffs ... also grabbed 3 ground balls ... claimed 11 of the 18 draws (61.1) and grabbed a team-high 6 ground balls against #5 Maryland ... won 7 of the 16 draws he took against Army West Point and teamed up with Varello to lead the Mids to a 13-12 advantage for the game ... played one of his best all-around games in the win over Colgate where he won 17 of the 24 draws he took which was just 2 off the stadium record ... also grabbed a season-high tying 11 ground balls and in doing so became the program’s all-time leader in ground balls ... he also scored his first goal of the season ... earned Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week honors on April 4 after his 13 for 16 performance in the Mids’ 12-3 win over Holy Cross ... in that game, he became only the ninth player in Patriot League history and the first in Navy history to reach the 400-win milestone ... additionally, it marked just the third time in Dove’s career that he won 80 percent or better of the faceoffs he’s taken ... he also picked up a team-high 8 ground balls ... earned Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week honors on March 28 after a 14 for 19 performance in the win over Lehigh where he picked up 11 ground balls ... it marked the second-most ground balls of his career and tied as the 10th most in school history ... joined the Mids’ single-season faceoff wins list in the seventh game of the year thanks to an 11-for-17 performance in the win over Lafayette ... won 13 of the 22 draws he took against #15 Loyola, including 9 of the 11 in the opening half ... after winning the opening draw of the second half, he became the Mids’ career record holder for faceoff wins ... named Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week on March 7 following a 15 for 21 (71.4) performance at Bucknell ... dominated the game against rookie Jarett Witzal who came into the contest ranked #8 with a 67.6 (48-71) winning percentage ... won 10 of the 23 draws he took against #5 Johns Hopkins (2.9) ... posted a 12-for-19 performance in the Mids’ opener against Air Force.

2015 (So.): A First-Team All-Patriot League selection who finished the season ranked #8 in the country in faceoff winning percentage, winning 147 of 235 (62.6) draws ... finished the year fifth on Navy’s single-season faceoff wins list ... became Navy’s record holder for faceoff wins by a sophomore thanks to his 13 for 16 performance at Lafayette ... he became the leader in attempts after winning 11 of his 17 draws at Colgate ... ranked 16th nationally in ground balls per game, grabbing 5.57 per game ... he led the team with 78 which was tied for 6th on the Mids’ single-season top 20 list ... won just 8 of the 17 draws he took against Air Force, while picking up 3 ground balls ... won 10 of the 21 faceoffs he took against Army West Point in the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals ... it was just the second time over the course of the season he fell short in the draw category ... with the 10 wins, however, he became just the third player in school history to eclipse 300 career wins. Also grabbed a team-best 6 ground balls ... won 10 of the 18 draws he took against Army West Point in the Star Game, including 6 of 8 in the final quarter that saw the Mids outscore the Cadets, 6-1 ... for the first time in 2015, he lost the faceoff battle in the Mids’ 17-7 loss to 20th-ranked Loyola ... he won just 10 of the 22 draws he took and came up with 7 grounders in the game ... owning the #1 faceoff winning percentage in the country (.706) at the time, he battled #2 Sam Talkow (.705) of Boston U. ... Dove (8-14) combined with rookie Joe Varello (5-10) to win 13 of the 24 draws ... claimed 11 of the 17 draws he took at Colgate losing 2 in the final minute with the Mids a man down ... also grabbed 7 ground balls ... was nearly unstoppable against Lehigh where he won 19 of the 25 draws he took ... the 19 wins tied his career high and fell just 1 shy of the Navy single-game record ... it also tied the record for most wins in a game played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ... also grabbed a career-best 12 ground balls against the Mountain Hawks which ties as the third most in program history ... in addition to winning 13 of 16 draws at Lafayette, he picked up 9 ground balls ... claimed 10 of the 17 draws against #17 Johns Hopkins and grabbed 3 ground balls ... became only the fifth player in program history to reach 200 career wins after winning 13 of his 19 draws against #14 Towson ... scooped up 8 ground balls against the Tigers ... won 9 of the 14 draws against Holy Cross and grabbed 4 ground balls ... won 9 of the 16 draws he took against Bucknell in the league opener ... was called for an illegal stick at the 7:49 mark in the fourth quarter after winning the faceoff and scoring a goal ... received a 3-minute unreleasable penalty with Bucknell scoring twice on extra-man ... won 7 of the 9 draws he took against All-American Charlie Raffa of Maryland ... was spectacular against VMI in the opener where he was 10 for 10 and grabbed 7 ground balls ... he is just the second player (Navy or an opponents) to win every faceoff he took in a game (min. of 10 att) at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, joining William Wallace of Navy who went 13 for 13 against Lafayette on March 15, 2005. He is one of only three players in the country this season to put up a perfect faceoff percentage in a game with a minimum of 10 attempts.

2014 (Fr.): A 2014 Second-Team All-Patriot League selection who was also the recipient of the Lt. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Award, presented to Navy’s Outstanding Midfielder ... with 163 wins in his rookie campaign, he stands eighth on Navy’s career faceoff wins list ... trails seventh-place Jay James (1998-00) by just two ... Navy’s record holder for faceoff wins by a freshman with 163 (289 att.) ... claimed the record just five games into his career against Lafayette ... became Navy’s faceoff attempts by a freshman record holder against Towson ... Mike Haertel was the previous record holder in both categories with 64 wins and 122 attempts during the 1997 season ... took all but 17 of Navy’s faceoffs ... finished the year ranked 20th nationally in faceoff winning percentage (56.4) and 25th in ground balls per game (5.93) ... as a team, Navy stood 18th in the country in faceoff winning percentage at 55.9 (171-306) ... Navy hasn’t finished the year above .500 since 2008 (55.3), while its 55.9 winning percentage this season marked the program’s best since 2007 when the Mids ended the year 13th with a 56.1 winning percentage ... among the nation’s freshmen, Dove was ranked fourth on the faceoff winning percentage leader board behind Stony Brook’s Kyle Rowe (6th, 62.5), Penn State’s Drake Kreinz (9th, 61.1) and Boston U.’s Sam Talkow (19th, 56.7) ... Dove was one of five Patriot League faceoff men who was ranked among the nation’s top 25 and one of six among the top 26 ... finished the season ranked third in the league in faceoff percentage in all games (56.4) and fifth in Patriot League matchups (55.3) ... his 163 wins among 14 games finished second on Navy’s single-season faceoff wins list, just 10 behind record holder Chris Pieczonka who set the record in 2004 with 173 wins over 16 contests (team played 18) ... Dove is only the ninth different Navy player to win 100 faceoffs in a season and only the fourth with 150 or more ... Chris Pieczonka (2004, ‘05) and William Wallace (2006, 07) topped 100 wins twice during their careers ... grabbed 83 ground balls which is the fourth-best mark on the Mids’ single-season list ... it’s the most ground balls by a Navy player since William Wallace picked up 87 in 2006 ... struggled in his matchup against Maryland’s Charlie Raffa, who finished the year with the country’s second-best faceoff percentage (68.6) ... Dove won 5 of the 19 draws he took against Raffa and grabbed three ground balls ... won 13 of the 19 draws at Lehigh in the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals and grabbed six ground balls ... caused a turnover and put one of his two shots on goal ... dominated Johns Hopkins, winning 10 of the 14 draws against the Blue Jays ... was facing Drew Kennedy, who came into the game ranked 11th nationally, but Kennedy won just 2 of the 7 draws he took ... was replaced by Craig Madarasz, who also was unable to solve the Navy rookie and won just 2 of the 7 faceoffs he took ... for just the third time in the season, was edged at the faceoff “x” in Navy’s battle against Army ... won just 9 of the 22 draws he took against Alex Daly who was ranked 13th in the country going into the contest ... picked up eight ground balls against the Black Knights ... claimed 10 of the 17 draws he took against top-ranked Loyola, including 6 of 9 in the opening half ... won 12 of the 23 draws at Boston U. against Sam Talkow who came into the game ranked ahead of Dove 14th ... facing his toughest challenge of the season in Colgate’s Alex Kinnealey, he won 10 of his 21 draws to become just the 14th player in school history to eclipse 100 CAREER faceoff wins ... punched in his second collegiate goal in the Mids’ 10-7 loss to the Raiders ... won 63.0 percent (17-27) of the faceoffs he took against Towson and picked up a team-best nine ground balls ... dominated the faceoff game by winning 12 of the 17 (70.6) draws he took against Lafayette and in doing so became Navy’s all-time leader in faceoff wins by a freshman … helped Navy score four goals in one minute 11 seconds by winning four consecutive faceoffs ... grabbed a career-high 10 ground balls against the Leopards which is also a game high for the Mids this season ... won 19 of 34 faceoffs (55.9) in the win over Holy Cross ... the 19 wins tied as the third most in program history, just one off the record set in 1995 and later tied in 2004 … it’s the most wins since Logan West won 19 against Bucknell on March 3, 2012 … the 34 attempts are the most in school history, improving upon the previous mark of 32 set by Dan Sullivan (twice) in 1995 ... played a solid game at Bucknell in his Patriot League debut, winning 12 of the 18 draws (66.7) and picking up a team-high 6 ground balls ... won 76.2 percent (16-21) of his faceoffs in his collegiate debut against VMI ... also scored his first collegiate goal on his first career shot in the VMI win.
