2015 (So.): A First-Team All-Patriot League selection who finished the season ranked #8 in the country in faceoff winning percentage, winning 147 of 235 (62.6) draws ... finished the year fifth on Navy’s single-season faceoff wins list ... became Navy’s record holder for faceoff wins by a sophomore thanks to his 13 for 16 performance at Lafayette ... he became the leader in attempts after winning 11 of his 17 draws at Colgate ... ranked 16th nationally in ground balls per game, grabbing 5.57 per game ... he led the team with 78 which was tied for 6th on the Mids’ single-season top 20 list ... won just 8 of the 17 draws he took against Air Force, while picking up 3 ground balls ... won 10 of the 21 faceoffs he took against Army West Point in the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals ... it was just the second time over the course of the season he fell short in the draw category ... with the 10 wins, however, he became just the third player in school history to eclipse 300 career wins. He is one of only three players in the country this season to put up a perfect faceoff percentage in a game with a minimum of 10 attempts.
2014 (Fr.): A 2014 Second-Team All-Patriot League selection who was also the recipient of the Lt. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Award, presented to Navy’s Outstanding Midfielder ... with 163 wins in his rookie campaign, he stands eighth on Navy’s career faceoff wins list ... trails seventh-place Jay James (1998-00) by just two ... Navy’s record holder for faceoff wins by a freshman with 163 (289 att.) ... claimed the record just five games into his career against Lafayette ... became Navy’s faceoff attempts by a freshman record holder against Towson ... Mike Haertel was the previous record holder in both categories with 64 wins and 122 attempts during the 1997 season ... took all but 17 of Navy’s faceoffs ... finished the year ranked 20th nationally in faceoff winning percentage (56.4) and 25th in ground balls per game (5.93) ... as a team, Navy stood 18th in the country in faceoff winning percentage at 55.9 (171-306) ... Navy hasn’t finished the year above .500 since 2008 (55.3), while its 55.9 winning percentage this season marked the program’s best since 2007 when the Mids ended the year 13th with a 56.1 winning percentage ... among the nation’s freshmen, Dove was ranked fourth on the faceoff winning percentage leader board behind Stony Brook’s Kyle Rowe (6th, 62.5), Penn State’s Drake Kreinz (9th, 61.1) and Boston U.’s Sam Talkow (19th, 56.7) ...
