Coughlin in 2008 (Jr.): Navy's starting keeper in nine of the 11 games he played, turned in a 5.52 goals-against average and a 55.1 save percentage ... started the first eight games of the season before suffering an injury against Bucknell ... sidelined for three straight games (Colgate, Georgetown, Maryland) before returning for the Army-Navy game where he played the final two minutes ... also saw action against Johns Hopkins during the regular season and was inserted into the starting lineup against Colgate in the league tournament ... was not ranked in the NCAA or Patriot League rankings due to missing games because of injury, however his GAA was better than two goals per game lower than league leader Adam Fullerton and he would have led the country ... turned in a career-high 10 saves in the first 50 minutes of action against Bucknell ... recorded nine saves in the Mids' win over Lafayette in the conference opener ... earned his first-collegiate start in Navy's win over VMI in the season opener where he made two stops and gave up a pair of goals ... received Patriot League Goalkeeper of the week recognition on Feb. 19 after making 11 saves and registering a 4.42 GAA against VMI and Ohio State. 2007 (So.): Saw action in four games as Navy's second-string goalkeeper ... earned his first minutes as a collegiate goalkeeper in the Mids' 19-8 win over North Carolina ... played the 2:35 against the Tar Heels where he gave up one goal and also made his first save in a Navy uniform ... also saw action against Canisius, Holy Cross and Navy's Patriot League Tournament contest against Army ... made one save in the Holy Cross and Army contests ... gave up both goals in Navy's 12-2 win over Holy Cross. 2006 (Fr.): Did not see any varsity action ... gained experience in the system as a scout team player, who also saw time in JV games.
