2004 Navy Men's Lacrosse Team To Be Honored

The Midshipmen won a school-record 15 games en route to their National Championship appearance in 2004.

2004:
Honed his skills during the off-season to become one of Navy's top close defensemen and a starter in all 18 games ... one of three players to receive the Lt. j.g. Frank McKeone Award for spirit, sportsmanship and service as the unsung hero ... teamed up with Mitch Hendler, Jared Bosanko and All-American goalkeeper Matt Russell to form one of the strongest defensive units in the country ... finished the year ranked No. 2 in the nation as a scoring defense, allowing just 7.06 goals per game ... the stifling defense gave up double digit goals just four times in 18 games, three of which were losses ... produced a career-high six grounders against Hobart in the Patriot League Championship and vs. top-ranked Johns Hopkins.

2003:
A starter in seven contests, played in all 13 on defense ... earned starting nods in the first-six games of the year ... along with Mitch Hendler and Pat Reilley, the trio had to grow up quickly and step into starting roles to support All-American Chris Stebbings ... tallied 27 ground balls, including a career-high six at Stony Brook ... posted four against UMBC ... served just one penalty (UMBC) for one minute.

2002:
Competed in three contests, including the Mids' first-two outings against St. Joseph's and UMBC ... scored his first-collegiate goal in the first game he wore a Navy uniform -- the season opener against St. Joseph's.

Personal:
A three-year letterwinner in hockey, while earning two letters in lacrosse at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, N.Y. ... High School Lacrosse All-America ... led Monroe County with 230 ground balls ... two-time lax MVP (`00-01) ... two-time MVP in hockey ... led Monroe County in scoring (hockey) during his senior season ... son of Richard and Barbara Felber.
