2004 Navy Men's Lacrosse Team To Be Honored

The Midshipmen won a school-record 15 games en route to their National Championship appearance in 2004.

Finnegan in 2006:
Played in a reserve role at goalkeeper where he saw action in six games ... played nearly 12 minutes in the Mids' opener at Saint Joseph's where he made a career-high seven saves ... played 1:15 in the Ohio State, replacing Matt Russell after he was called for slashing ... playing a man down, Finnegan made back-to-back saves on point-blank range shots ... gave up a pair of goals in his near 20 minutes of action against Holy Cross, where he also made four stops ... saw minimal action against Lafayette, Colgate and in the Patriot League Tournament against Lehigh ... owned a 5.94 goals-against average for the season, giving up four goals in just over 40 minutes ... made 15 saves for a 78.9 save percentage ... named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2005:
Did not see any varsity action, however, he played a solid role as a member of the Mids' scout team.

2004:
Played in six games as a rookie, including the final eight minutes of the National Championship game against Syracuse ... was called in to replace starting keeper Matt Russell who suffered a broken collarbone ... played in his first-collegiate game on March 20 in Orlando against Colgate ... played just under 21 minutes, giving up two goals and stopping one shot on goal ... earned three minutes of action against arch rival Army in the Star Game at West Point ... saw his most extensive action in the regular-season finale against Holy Cross in which he played 21 minutes ... gave up four goals and made one save ... though he played just seven minutes against Lehigh, faced the most shots (eight) all year.
