French in 2013 (Sr.): One of the rare two-sport athletes at the Academy, he was also a member of Navy's football team that played in the 2012 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl and won the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy by defeating Army and Air Force ... the last Navy football player to also play lacrosse was Jame Doffermyre, Class of 2000, who played lacrosse his sophomore year (13 gms), the final two games of the 1999 season (was voted the team captain of the football team, so his focus was on spring football) and all of his senior year (13 gms) ... a member of the Navy defensive unit that was ranked 40th nationally in pass defense (215.23 yds/gm) and 54th in scoring defense (25.69 pts/gm) ... also tied for 19th in red zone defense, giving up 37 scores on 50 drives ... a starter in six of the 13 games in which he played at inside linebacker ... was the team's third-leading tackler with 79 (39-40), including two tackles for a loss on the year.
