Ray in 2018 (Sr.): Selected to serve as co-captain alongside DJ Plumer ... heads into his senior campaign having produced a point in 19 of the last 24 games he has played and goals in 17 of the last 24 ... a starter in 30 consecutive games before a foot injury suffered against Maryland (2.11.17) sidelined him for seven games ... has started 35 of the 36 games in which he has played over his career.

2017 (Jr.): A starter in each of the seven games in which he played, finished the season with seven points on five goals and two assists and took just 37 shots ... missed seven games (Delaware, Boston U., Bucknell, Penn, Lafayette, Loyola and Dartmouth) after breaking his foot against Maryland ... chipped in a goal against Holy Cross in the Patriot League Quarterfinals ... scored the game-tying goal in the Mids’ 10-6 win over Army in the Star Game ... turned in a goal and an assist at Holy Cross, while also picking up a pair of ground balls ... returned to the playing field on 3.25 against Lehigh ... took one shot that ricocheted off the cross bar and grabbed one ground ball ... held scoreless on seven shots against #2 Maryland ... recorded his 21st career multiple-point game and 17th multiple-goal game when he turned in three poings on two goals and an assist against Johns Hopkins in the opener.

2016 (So.): Finished the season as the Mids’ second-leading scorer with 38 points on 26 goals and 12 assists ... played one of his best all-around games of the year with 4 points on 3 goals and an assist in Navy’s NCAA Tournament victory over Yale ... dealt out his 11th assist of the year in the Mids’ loss to Army in the Patriot League Tournament ... contributed a goal and a pair of assists in Navy’s win over Sacred Heart ... had his 12-game point-scoring streak snapped by Maryland ... scored 2 of Navy’s first 3 goals in its Star Game victory over Army West Point ... played a sensational game against Colgate where he turned in a career-high 6 points on 2 goals and a team-best 4 assists ... came into the game with 4 assists on the year ... also recorded his third caused turnover of the year ... punched in 2 goals in Navy’s 12-3 win against Holy Cross ... pitched in a pair of goals in Navy’s 12-7 victory over Lehigh in what was the Mids’ first win in Bethlehem since 2010 ... turned in his third hat trick of the year and sixth of his career with 3 goals in the win over Lafayette ... after dealing out a pair of assists, scored the game-winner with 37.7 seconds left against #15 Loyola ... tallied his second hat trick this season with a 4-goal effort at Bucknell ... dealt out just his sixth career assist and second this season in the Mids’ league opener at Boston U. ... turned in his first hat trick of the seasonwith a team-best 3 goals in the double-overtime loss to #5 Johns Hopkins ... scored 3 points on 2 goals and 1 assist in the Mids’ opener against Air Force ... scored both of his goals during Navy’s 8-1 run in the second half.

2015 (Fr.): A starter at attack in 12 of the 13 games in which he played ... was the team’s third-leading scorer with 26 points on 22 goals and 4 assists ... was also third in scoring in Patriot League games with 17 points on 13 goals and 4 assists ... his 22 goals led the team in overall contests, as did his 13 goals in conference action ... scored a career-best 5 goals in Navy’s win at Air Force ... it was the most goals scored by a Navy freshman since Matt Pawlikowski scored 6 in a 16-10 win over Penn on March 17, 1990 ... it’s the most goals scored by a Navy player since 2014 when T.J. Hanzsche scored 6 and Sam Jones scored 5 against Holy Cross ... shot 7 times, scoring on all 5 he put on goal ... scored an unassisted goal with 4 seconds remaining in the third quarter which triggered a 7-0 run by the Mids in a 10-7 victory over Army West Point ... also assisted Casey Rees on an extra-man goal in the second quarter ... punched in a pair of 30-second timer-on goals that were unassisted against #20 Loyola ... snapped his 7-game goal-scoring streak against Boston U. where he was held scoreless on 4 shots ... garnered Patriot League Rookie of the Week and ECAC South Division Rookie of the Week honors on March 23 after turning in a career-high tying 4 points on 3 goals and 1 assist in the Mids’ win at Colgate ... all 3 of his goals were unassisted, while a fourth was waved off after he was called for warding ... held to just 3 shots against Lehigh, but stuck his shot with 4:25 to go in the game to give the Mids the go-ahead goal ... turned in 2 goals against #17 Johns Hopkins as well as at Lafayette ... scored a pair of goals against #14 Towson and had two goals waived off - he was called in the crease once and a second goal was not allowed after the officials blew the whistle for a broken stick ... played his best game in a Navy uniform, scoring a career-high 3 unassisted goals and adding an assist in Navy’s 7-6 road win against #19 Holy Cross ... turned in the first points of his career in the Mids’ league opener against Bucknell where he scored his first goal and dealt out his first assist ... also picked up a career-best 5 ground balls ... it also marked his first career start ... made his collegiate debut against #8 Maryland ... had a goal waived off after the officials ruled he was in the crease ... sat out the Mids’ opener against VMI with a hamstring injury.

More on Ray: A 2013 graduate of Don Bosco Prep School in Ramsey, N.J., Ray attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2013-14 academic year ... a two-sport standout who earned letters in football (3) and lacrosse (3) ... garnered all-county honors as a junior ... member of the football team that claimed the 2012 National Championship, while the lacrosse team won the 2013 state title ... majoring in Quantitative Economics, he owns a 3.08 grade-point average ... has been named to the Commandant’s List three times and Dean’s List once ... son of Richard and Kathleen Ray ... his service assignment is Submarines.
