Mann in 2012 (Jr.): After playing offensive midfield for the first two season, he made the switch to short stick defensive midfield in 2012 ... Navy boasted the nation's 14th-best scoring defense, surrendering 8.92 goals per game ... part of a spectacular defensive effort in which Navy stymied No. 6 Johns Hopkins for the first 25-plus minutes (25:31) of the game and again for better than 31 minutes (31:45) between the second and fourth quarters to hold Hopkins to its fewest goals in a game since April 2, 1966, when Princeton dealt it a 7-1 loss ... additionally, the two goals marked the fewest in series history by the Blue Jays since May 9, 1925, when the Mids earned an 8-1 win in Annapolis ... part of a unit that held Colgate, the nation's No. 2 scoring offense, to under its scoring average ... 11 goals marked the fewest goals scored by Colgate since losing to Dartmouth, 9-6, on Feb. 25 ... the Mids also held the Raiders scoreless 18:15 between the first and second quarters, building a 5-1 lead, and for 12:15 in the fourth quarter ... picked up two ground balls against No. 4 North Carolina and caused one turnover ... caused two Dolphin turnovers in Navy's 13-7 loss to Jacksonville ... dealt out an assist in the Mids' opener against VMI where he also picked up two ground balls and caused a turnover.
2011 (So.): Finished the season ranked fifth on the team in points with 13 ... produced 11 goals and two assists ... scored nine of his 11 goals after being inserted into the starting lineup on March 12 against Lafayette ... member of the Mids' extra-man squad that scored goals on 19 of its 55 attempts (.345) and was ranked 22nd nationally ... recorded a pair of assists in Navy's home finale against Army ... turned in his ninth goal of the year in Navy's 10-4 loss against Maryland ... scored Navy's first two goals in a 9-8 loss at Georgetown ... had his five-game point scoring streak snapped by Colgate ... put two of his four shots on goal, but could not get one to fall ... picked up a career-high tying three ground balls ... dealt out an assist to Harrison Chaires on Navy's second of five extra-man goals against Holy Cross ... posted a career-high five turnovers in the contest ... turned in a pair of goals in Navy's come-from-behind win over Towson, including a goal in the Mids' 6-0 run to end the game ... member of the Mids' second midfield line over the first five contests, he earned his first-career start in Navy's 15-6 victory over Lafayette ... scored a career-high two goals against the Leopards and picked up a personal-best three ground balls ... recorded his first-collegiate extra-man goal ... turned in his first assist of the season, feeding one of Tucker Hull's career-high four goals at Bucknell ... fired in his second goal of the year in Navy's Patriot League opener against Lehigh ... took a career-high six shots at North Carolina after coming into the game having taken eight total shots in his career ... also scooped up a grounder and caused a turnover ... punched in his first goal of the season and just the second of his career in Navy's one-goal loss at Loyola ... tied the score at 8-8 with 7:48 to play in the game.
2010 (Fr.): Played in 10 of the 15 games, primarily as a defensive midfielder at the beginning of the season because of his size ... he gradually saw more time on the offensive side of the field at the end of the year ... suffered a broken collarbone following a collision with a North Carolina player on a faceoff on Feb. 25 ... missed a month, but was able to come back for the Mids' victory over Colgate ... grabbed a career-best two ground balls at Colgate and also took his first-career shot ... scored his first-career goal on just his second-collegiate shot in Navy's win over Johns Hopkins ... dealt out his first-career assist in the Patriot League Championship Game against Army.
