Kiernan in 2012 (So.): A force to be reckoned with on both ends of the field, Kiernan received Second-Team All-Patriot League recognition as one of the premier specialists in the conference ... despite missing two games early in the season, he finished the season second on the team with 14 caused turnovers and third with 36 grounders ... Navy boasted the nation's 14th-best scoring defense, surrendering 8.92 goals per game ... a member of the Mids' man-down unit that was ranked eighth nationally, stopping 75.0 percent (30 of 40) of its opponents' extra-man opportunities ... the team's sixth-leading scorer with 10 points on seven goals and three assists ... among defensemen, he was the nation's fourth-leading scorer trailing Bryant's Mason Poli (19-6=25), Loyola's Scott Ratliff (12-7=19) and Duke's CJ Costabile (7-4=11) ... one of 10 active long poles nationwide to produce 11 or more points over the course of their careers ... tied for eighth on the Div.
