North Senior All-Stars | South Senior All-Stars
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy senior goalkeeper RJ Wickham (Penn Yan, N.Y.) has been selected to play in the 2012 USILA/Lax World North-South Senior All-Star Game slated for Friday at Harvard Stadium beginning at 5:30 pm. The day kicks off at 3:00 pm with the playing of the Div. III game. Tickets for the event may be purchased at the game and are $5.00.
Wickham, who is one of 11 players representing Patriot League institutions, is the first Navy player to compete in the annual all-star game since Ian Dingman, Billy Looney and Colin Finnegan took part in the festivities in 2007. While Wickham is the 148th player in program history to participate in the all-star game, the timing of the game has generally conflicted with graduation at the Naval Academy. This year's graduation will be held next Tuesday, allowing Wickham the opportunity for one last showing in a collegiate uniform.
Earlier this month, Wickham was presented with the 2012 Coach Willis P. Bilderback Award as Navy's outstanding defensive player. A two-time First-Team All-Patriot League goalkeeper, Wickham was sensational in the cage this season where he produced an 8.87 goals-against average and the nation's 10th-best save percentage (57.0). He is also ranked ninth nationally in saves per game, stopping 11.25 shots per game. He graduates sixth on the Mids' all-time career saves list with 479, tallying the most saves since Jarboe set the school record in 2000.
