2012 - FRESHMAN: Vogel had one of the top freshman seasons in Navy history, being named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and second-team all-Patriot League, to the CollegeSoccerNews.com Freshman All-America third team and as the 85th-best freshman nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.com ... appeared in 15 games, scoring 10 points (4 g, 2 a) while missing two games with an injury ... earned a Patriot League-record four Rookie of the Week accolades ... scored goals in back-to-back games against 20th-ranked George Mason and then Lafayette ... his goal against Lafayette came right before halftime and moments after the Leopards had cut Navy's lead to 2-1 ... broke out in a big way in a 3-1 win over Howard late in the year ... being moved from defenseman to forward, Vogel had a hand in all three of Navy's second-half goals to lift Navy to the victory ... scored Navy's first two goals, the second being the game-winning goal, and assisted on Joseph Greenspan's goal to cap Navy's scoring ... recorded an assist on Navy's first goal of the game in the season finale against Colgate ... was nagged by an injury for most of last season, but is now 100 percent healthy and had an outstanding spring season ... will be a cornerstone of Navy's defense for the next three seasons.
