ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy head coach Dave Brandt has announced the men's soccer program's 2014 spring exhibition schedule. The challenging schedule will see Navy facing three 2013 NCAA Tournament teams, plus one ACC squad and one professional team.

Navy will open its spring schedule against the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL PRO Division, the third tier of professional soccer in America behind MLS and NASL. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw during the 2013 spring season. The Navy vs. Harrisburg City game will be played at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa., just outside of Harrisburg, on Sunday, March 23 at 3:00 PM.

Navy will host William & Mary (11-5-3, 4-2-1 CAA) in its lone home game of the 2014 spring schedule on Saturday, March 29 at 7:00 PM at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. William & Mary received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and fell to George Mason in penalty kicks in the first round. The Tribe finished the 2013 season with an RPI ranking of 19, two spots ahead of No. 21 Navy.

Following the William & Mary contest, Navy will travel to NC State (8-5-4, 3-5-3 ACC) for a game on Saturday, April 5 at 3:00 PM. Despite a year-end RPI ranking of 34, the Wolfpack did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Navy will continue its exhibition series with Penn State (13-6-2, 5-1-0 Big Ten) on Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 PM in University Park, Pa. Penn State won the Big Ten regular season title for the second-straight year before advancing to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and finishing the season ranked No. 16. Navy defeated Penn State, 2-1, in an exhibition game prior to the 2013 fall season and Penn State defeated Navy, 2-0, in a 2013 spring game.

Navy will conclude its five-game spring schedule at Drexel (9-8-4, 4-1-2 CAA) on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 PM. Drexel won the 2013 CAA Tournament Championship to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Drexel fell to Old Dominion in the NCAA First Round.

Navy (16-4-2, 9-0-0 PL) finished the 2013 season ranked No. 25 in the NSCAA national poll after advancing to the NCAA Second Round. The Mids won the Patriot League Tournament and Regular Season Championships.
