Phillips's Career Honors:
• First-Team All-CSFL Kickoff Specialist (2008)
• Honorable Mention All-CSFL Punter (2007)
• CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week (Nov. 4, 2008)

2008:
• Played in all seven games, primarily as a kickoff specialist and punter
• Averaged 56.5 yards per kickoff over his 31 swings of the leg, including one touchback
• With his long kickoffs, he helped the Midshipmen contain the opposition to its own 30 yardline for average starting field position
• As a punter, he averaged 33.7 yards per kick over 35 punts
• Eight of his 35 punts landed inside the opponent's 20 yardline
• Uncorked a season-long 54-yard punt in Navy's non-league win at Army (9/28)
• As a placekicker, he made 7-of-8 extra-point attempts and 2-of-6 field goal tries
• Both of his field goals made were over 40 yards - a 46-yard conversion against Cornell (10/4) and a 44-yard make against Army in the Star Game (10/31)
• Also chipped in with three solo tackles on the year

2007:
• Saw action in five games as the punter and primary kickoff specialist
• Averaged 30.1 yards on 20 punts, five of which landed inside the opponent's 20 yardline
• Produced a 41-yard punt against Cornell in the Pride Bowl (10/7)
• His 34 kickoffs averaged 52.6 yards

2006:
• Played in three games
• Made all-seven extra-point attempts
• Averaged 53.3 yards over his 13 kickoffs with a pair of touchbacks
