2007-08 -- Playing among the middle of the ladder, Beautyman Jr. turned in an 11-12 record ... won six of his first seven matches, dropping a 3-0 decision to highly-ranked Western Ontario in just his third competition of the year ... opened the year with a 9-0, 9-1, 9-1 win over Northwestern's Eugene Kim ... played a strong match against Denison's Griffin Merrill in which he won, 9-1, 9-2, 9-0 ... dropped a heartbreaker against Robert Lynn of Bowdoin ... took a 2-1 lead in the match, but Lynn evened it up with a 9-7 win in the fourth and then the match win by edging Beautyman Jr. in the fifth, 10-9 ... struggled a year ago in long matches ... didn't give up a point against MIT's Sonny Thai in what was his second of three matches on the day ... won back-to-back three-game decisions against Hobart and Colgate late in the year.
