Links associated with this release: GRANVILLE, Ohio (Feb. 12) - Navy went to Granville, Ohio this weekend looking to avenge a loss suffered in its season opener this season at the hands of seventh-ranked Denison. The Mids (14-5), though, were successful in winning just one flight Friday in the re-match, as Denison captured the victory, 8-1. Navy's lone win the bout was a come-from-behind win by junior Stephen Huber (Lake Forest, Ill.) Huber was down 2-0 when he rallied to take the match against Carrol Cavanagh, 11-15, 11-15, 15-4, 17-16, 17-16. "Stephen Huber played an amazing match against Cavanagh," said first-year head coach Craig Dawson. "He came back from behind two games down to pull out the victory. It was a great win for him." Since moving to the No. 8 flight, Huber has not lost a match (5-0) and is 14-2 overall this season. Meanwhile, Navy captured a 9-0 victory against Ohio Wesleyan by way of forfeit.
