Navy Squash Posts 12th-Place Finish At NISRA Championship With 6-3 Loss To Brown
Links associated with this release: NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Navy squash team dropped a tough 6-3 match to Brown Sunday in the Hoehn Division of the NISRA Championship in New Haven, Conn., finishing 12th overall and fourth in the division. The Mids, who completed their season with a 17-7 record, matched last year's finish of 12th in the country. The Mids dropped matches at flights one through five, however the highlight of the day was a win by captain Clint Lawler (Thurmont, Md.) at No. 6. The senior closed out his Navy career with a 3-0 victory over James Rich, 15-9, 15-13, 15-11. Meanwhile, David Haile (Hudson, Ohio) posted a sweep over Robert Park, 17-15, 15-13, 15-12, at No. 7, and Stephen Huber (Lake Forest, Ill.) triumphed at No. 8, beating David Pun, 9-15, 15-4, 8-15, 17-15, 15-9.
