Six Navy Swimmers Earn Academic Honor

Men's Swimmers and Divers Earn Academic Accolades

Four of the 10 competed at 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials

Academic Honors -- Has been named to the Commandant's List five times ... was named to the 2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ... Athletic Honors -- Earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors in 2010 and `12 and second-team accolades in `11.

2011-12 -- Placed third in the 200 back and sixth in the 100 back at the Patriot League Championship ... his 200 back time of 1:48.25 at the meet was a new Navy career-best clocking, as was his posting of a 3:57.50 in the 400 IM ... won the 100 back against George Mason and Loyola and the 200 IM against UMBC during the regular season.

2010-11 -- Placed fourth in both backstroke events and seventh in the 400 IM at the Patriot League Meet ... his time of 50.23 in the 100 back at the meet is his fastest time in the event while at Navy ... won the 100 back against Yale and Maryland during the regular season, as well as the 100 breast against George Mason.

2009-10 -- Tied for second in the 200 breast and placed fifth in both the 100 back and 200 IM at the Patriot League Meet ... won the 100 back and 200 breast against Maryland ... also won the 200 breast against American, Bucknell and Lafayette.

High School -- Graduated from Cathedral Prep School ... competed in both swimming and water polo at the school ... placed 14th in the 200 IM at Junior Nationals ... garnered all-state (Pa.) and All-America honors during each of his final three seasons ... tabbed as the team MVP as a junior and senior.

Personal -- Naval architecture major.
