ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- A record-breaking performance by swimmer Adam Meyer (So., Bethesda, Md.) and a sweep of the two boards by diver Jon Galinski (Jr., Phoenix, Md.) allowed the Navy duo to earn weekly laurels from the Patriot League Tuesday. Meyer earned his fourth swimmer-of-the-week accolade from the league this season, while Galinski was tabbed as the league's top diver of the week for the first time in his career.

Meyer won a pair of events and placed second in another race during Navy's dual meet against Harvard this past Saturday in Lejeune Hall. He improved to 9-0 this season in the 200 fly by posting a winning time in the event of 2:03.27, while upping his record in the individual medley events this year to 5-0 with a win in the 400 IM. His clocking of 4:24.29 in the race broke the Navy metric pool record of 4:36.01 set by Andrew Thorn in Feb. 2005. Meyer previously set the Navy yards pool record, as well as the Patriot League and league championship meet record, in the 400 individual medley of 3:54.33 last spring.

Galinski, meanwhile, won both diving events contested against the Crimson by the combined total of 42 points. After posting a winning score of 324.45 on the one meter, he recorded 351.00 points to win the three-meter event.

Saturday marked the first time in his career that he has won both diving events during a dual meet.

Navy, with a record of 11-1 on the season, will continue its month-long homestand Saturday by playing host to Cornell and Yale in Lejeune Hall. The 12 Noon men's meet will be followed by a contest between the women's teams from each of the three schools at 2:30 p.m.
