Navy's Anthony Honored by Patriot League

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Navy's Mac Anthony (Sr., Allentown, Pa.) was recognized Monday by the Patriot League as its men's swimmer of the week. It is Anthony's sixth such award this season and the 12th of his career.
Anthony earned the latest accolade for his efforts during's Navy's win over Columbia on Friday. He first posted a time of 1:50.72 to win the 200-m freestyle event by 1.4 seconds, then recorded a clocking of 4:02.03 to win the 400-m free by nearly seven-tenths of a second. Anthony closed out his day by swimming the fastest 50 meters (22.82) of anyone in the field of the 200-m freestyle relay race.
His 12 weekly career nods ranks second to Erik Hunter's 14 for the most earned by a Mid in the nine seasons Navy has been part of the Patriot League.
Navy concluded its 2011-12 dual meet season with an 11-1 record. The Mids now turn their attention to the championship portion of their season, which begins with the Feb. 16-18 Patriot League Championship that will be held in Lejeune Hall.
