Vote for Navy Graduate Brad Snyder for ESPY Award

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Naval Academy graduate and Paralympic Games Gold Medalist Brad Snyder is one of five nominees for an ESPN ESPY Award in the category of Best Male Athlete with a Disability. Fans can cast a ballot in each of the ESPY categories through the ESPN web site.
Snyder graduated from Navy in 2006 after serving as the captain of the swimming team during his senior season. An explosive ordnance disposal officer, Snyder lost his eyesight when an improvised explosive device was triggered while he was on duty in Afghanistan on Sept. 7, 2011. One year later to the day, Snyder earned his second gold medal in swimming and third medal in all at the Paralympic Games in London. He would go on to be elected to carry the U.S. flag during the closing ceremonies of the Games.
