Two teams in search of their first victories of the young season will meet Wednesday when the Navy men's swimming and diving team plays host to George Washington in a 5 p.m. dual meet in Lejeune Hall.

Navy (0-2) is coming off a narrow 130-113 loss at Maryland-Baltimore County last Saturday in Baltimore. The Mids picked up victories on the day from Thatcher Carr (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio) in both the one and three-meter diving events, Mike Heiny (Jr., Advance, N.C.) in the 200 backstroke and Brian DeMell (Fr., Mentor, Ohio) in the 200 breaststroke. Navy also won the 400-medley relay competition against the Retrievers.

"Although we lost at UMBC, our times were much better than they were in our first meet of the year at Johns Hopkins," said Navy head coach Lee Lawrence. "Wednesday is another good opportunity for us to gauge our progress as we get ready for Army in a few weeks."

George Washington has dropped meets this season to James Madison and Notre Dame.
