Earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors ... posted a singles record of 17-8 in the spring ... this included a mark of 9-1 at No. 3 singles ... his lone losses at the flight came in a 10-point, third-set tiebreaker against UMBC and in the NCAA Tournament against Florida ... dropped just one set in recording a 7-0 mark against league foes ... lost a combined six games in winning a pair of matches against Army ... held a 24-11 advantage in games won during his two matches in the Patriot League Tournament ... posted a 4-1 record in set tiebreakers on the year ... teamed with Calvin Mark for a 23-3 record in doubles during the spring ... this included marks of 20-3 at No. 1 doubles and 3-0 at No. 2 doubles ... the 23 doubles wins ties him for the most victories tallied by a Mid during the dual meet season ... one of the tandem's victories came against a duo from No. 17 North Carolina ... the Mark-McDonald team also was 6-1 against league foes ... his 40 overall wins ranks second to Mark in Navy history ... compiled a combined record of 9-2 during the fall ... won the No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles (with Calvin Mark) flights at the Navy Gold Invitational ... posted singles victories over players from UMBC, Temple and Georgetown ... the lone loss of the fall for the doubles tandem was a 9-8 (7-5) setback ... the team dropped a combined 13 games in winning its five fall matches ... won a pair of 10-point, third-set tiebreakers in singles during the fall.

Graduated from East Chapel Hill High School ... competed on both the cross country and tennis teams at the school ... earned all-conference, all-region and all-state honors in tennis in each of his four seasons ... mother played tennis at Princeton ... his highest ranking on was No. 69 and was tabbed as a 4-star recruit by the site.
