ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The team seedings and bracket for the 2012 Patriot League Men's Tennis Tournament to be played this weekend in Annapolis were announced Tuesday by the league office.

Navy enters the weekend as the top-seeded team in the seven-team field by virtue of the Mids having posted a 5-0 record against Patriot League foes this spring. As the No. 1 seeded team, Navy will receive a quarterfinal round bye and will first take to the courts Saturday at 10 a.m. against the winner of the No. 4 Bucknell vs. No. 5 Colgate quarterfinal round match that will be played Friday at 9 a.m.

Friday's additional two quarterfinal round pairings feature No. 2 Lehigh taking on No. 7 Holy Cross at Noon and No. 3 Army squaring off against No. 6 Lafayette at 3 p.m. The respective winners from those two matches will face each other Saturday at 2 p.m. in the tournament's second semifinal.

The championship match will be played Sunday at 1 p.m., with the winner receiving the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Army won the 2011 Patriot League Tournament crown to snap a string of four consecutive titles won by Navy.

The USNA Tennis Courts will serve as the primary site for all of the matches. The Tose Family Tennis Center will be utilized if weather forces the matches to be played indoors.

The entire tournament is free for all fans to attend. Note that the Naval Academy will not be running shuttle bus service for fans on any day of the tournament. All fans attending the matches that will be played at the USNA Tennis Courts without a Department of Defense sticker on their vehicle must park outside of the USNA gates and walk through the gate one visitors entrance and security checkpoint. Parking will be available adjacent to the Tose Family Tennis Center for matches being played at the tournament's indoor site.
