• 2012 All-Patriot League First Team (Cross Country)
• 2012 Patriot League Cross Country All-Academic Team

2012-13 (Sophomore Cross Country Season):
• Earned All-Patriot League First-Team honors by placing sixth at the league meet
• Was Navy's top finisher three times and second finisher twice
• Placed in Navy's top four in all seven races
• Placed second overall at the Army-Navy Star Meet

2011-12 (Freshman Season):
• Ran a season-best time of 14:57.21 in the 5,000m run to place 17th at the Wesley Brown Invitational
• Clocked a 15:13 in the 5K at the Navy Invite, placing sixth
• Ran an 8:54.99 to place eighth in the 3,000m run at the Maryland Invite
• Competed in one cross country race

High School / Personal:
• A 2011 graduate of Saint Ignacius High School, where he earned four letters in track and field and four in cross country
• Helped lead team to a state cross country championship in 2009
• Won the cross country district individual title in 2010
• Was named all-state and team MVP as the cross country captain in his senior year
• Served as his class president. Was also a member of the student senate
• Son of Paul and Mary Sweeney
• Majoring in economics
• Has been named to the Commandant's List twice and the Superintendent's List once
