Sunday's schedule will feature the finals of the previously listed running prelims, as well as the shot put, high jump and 5,000m run.
Navy had three athletes earn IC4A All-East honors (top eight) at last year's indoor meet and the team tied for 20th place with 13 team points.
Senior Ken Bunnell placed second in the 3,000m run last season, senior Jeremy Haney was fifth in the mile and junior Mitch Simmonds placed eighth in the 60m hurdles. Haney and Simmonds will compete in the same events as least year, while Bunnell will team up with seniors Dominic Della Pelle, Lucas Connelly and Matt Evers in the distance medley relay.
Navy won 10 events en route to a Patriot League runner-up finish at the indoor league meet two weeks ago, and four individual winners will be competing in the same event at the IC4As.
Simmonds took the indoor 60m hurdle crown, Evers won the 500 and Connelly won the 800. Also, freshman Mark Vetere won the pole vault and was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Meet.
Navy's deepest events this weekend will be the 3,000m run and the weight throw, with four athletes entered in each event.
The Mids placed 1-2-4-5-7 in the 3,000m run at the Patriot League indoor meet and were 1-5-7-9 in the weight throw. Senior Michael Sheehan is Navy's top-seeded entry in the 3K (8:21.67) while Chris Ricks leads the way in the weight throw with a season-best mark of 59-8½.
Navy's last event victory at the IC4A Indoor Championship came in 2006 when the distance medley relay team of Craig Meekins, William Ricks, Paul Harris and Ben Kozy took first place with a time of 9:53.87.
The last time Navy won an individual title at the indoor meet was in 1998 when Matthew Poirier cleared 16-8¾ (5.10m) in the pole vault to take first place.
Senior Cody Rome, who was recently named the 2012 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, will be competing in the 3,000m run at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational on Saturday at 11:45 am.
Competing individually in 2011 at the Alex Wilson, Rome won the 3,000m run with a school record time of 7:55.12. Rome's time ranked him 21st in the nation in the event last year, but the NCAA only took the top 20 runners to the indoor national championship. The 2012 automatic qualifying time in the 3K is 7:52.30.
Navy is ranked No. 9 in the latest USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region rankings. Navy has been ranked in all six polls this season.
