Stell ties a Patriot League single-season record with his third M-F Athletic Male Field Athlete of the Week award in the outdoor season after an IC4A-qualifying toss of 218-5 (66.57m) to win the javelin at the Tom Jones Memorial. The mark was the fourth-farthest of his career and topped any Patriot Leaguer this season. Stell is the fifth male to earn three M-F Athletic Field Athlete of the Week awards in the outdoor campaign, and first since Bucknell's Leonard Joseph in 2012.
Navy will host the 2014 Patriot League Outdoor Championship next weekend at Ingram Field from May 2-3. The Mids won the 2014 Patriot league Indoor Championship in February with 201.83 points.
