Navy Men's Track & Field Team Concludes Competition at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Navy men's outdoor track & field team (7-0) wrapped up competition at the prestigious Penn Relays Saturday.

The 4x800m relay team highlighted the day for the Midshipmen, taking third place with a time of 7: 32.30. The 4xMile relay team of Aaron Lanzel (So./Sugar Grove, Pa.), Erik Schmidt (Fr./Spokane, Wash.), Jonathan Hayes (Sr./Mt. Airy, Md.) and Bert Rodriguez (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) finished 16th with a time of 16:58.16.

Dan Chapman (Jr./Glen Rose, Texas) took10th in the CM Eastern Triple Jump with a mark of 46' 5-1/2". Josh Stewart (Sr./Downington, Pa.) placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 47' 3-1/2".

Navy will be back in action next weekend when they compete in the Heptagonal Championship in Princeton, N.J. May 5-6.
