Duncavage Earns Third Patriot League Weekly Honor
April 28, 2014
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – A strong outing at the Penn Relays by Navy men’s track and field senior Zack Duncavage (League City, Texas) garnered Patriot League M-F Athletic Field Athlete of the Week honors, announced by the league office Monday.
Duncavage tied Navy’s Mark Van Orden (2007-10) for the most career M-F Athletic Male Field Athlete of the Week awards with six. Navy's Duncavage and Jay Stell have split the last six Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Duncavage placed fourth in the discus at the Penn Relays with a mark of 191-2 (58.27 m), which put him 20th in the NCAA rankings this season. His mark was the third farthest of his career and leads the Patriot League this season. He also received the honor for the third time this season, matching teammate Stell for this year and four others previously for the top single-season mark in League history.
Navy will host the 2014 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championship this Friday and Saturday at Ingram Field.
