Sabbatine Named Director of Operations for Navy Track and Field
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy Director of Track and Field Jamie Cook announced the hiring of Andrea Sabbatine for the role of Director of Operations for the Navy track and field program. Sabbatine joins the Midshipmen after holding the same position at Washington State.
"We are excited to welcome Andrea to the Navy track and field family," Cook said. "It is an exciting time for our program as we finally integrate the men's and women's programs. Having a director of operations with Andrea's background and knowledge will bring loads of experience to our program and allow us to continue on our winning ways as we battle against Army and continue to battle in the Patriot League."

Sabbatine joined the Navy track and field staff as director of track and field operations in September of 2017. Prior to joining the Naval Academy, she spent two years (2016-17) with the Washington State University track and field team in the same capacity.
Sabbatine, a native of Georgetown, Ky., was a four-year letterwinnner on the track and field team at the University of Louisville. She graduated from Louisville with a degree in exercise science in 2010 and with a Master's of Science in sport administration in 2012.
After college graduation, Sabbatine served as an academic tutor and mentor for the Louisville football program working with both individuals and groups of academically at-risk student-athletes. She also worked as a marketing research specialist including an internship with the Kentucky Derby Festival. Additionally, Sabbatine coached pole vault at two Kentucky high schools and was the pole vault coach at Bellermine University for the 2012-13 school year.
As a professional vaulter, she recorded a PR height of 4.20m (13-09.25).
