Enslen, Brennan Named Patriot League Performers of the Week
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Senior captain Devin Enslen (Alamogordo, N.M.) and junior Sean Brennan (Westfield, N.J.) were named Patriot League Performers of the Week as announced by the conference office. Enslen was named the Track Athlete of the Week, while Brennan claimed Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
Enslen earned first place in the 200m dash, finishing within one-hundredth of a second ahead of teammate Demetrius Lanier (Palm Coast, Fla.) at the Navy Indoor Invitational on Saturday. Enslen notched an IC4A qualifying time of 21.51 to edge Lanier's qualifying time of 21.52. Enslen added a qualifying time in the 60m dash, clocking a 6.96 in the prelims of the event to advance to the finals. In the finals, Enslen notched a team-best time of 6.89 to finish third.
In the shot put and weight throw, Brennan finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, with an IC4A qualifying throw in the shot put. Brennan won the shot with a team-best distance of 16.80m (55-01.50), while coming in second in the weight throw with a team-long throw of 16.44m (53-11.25).
Navy will continue the indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 6, as the Mids welcome Princeton to Annapolis for a dual meet beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley A. Brown Field House.
