Kim Named MAWPC Defensive Player of the Week
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy water polo goalkeeper Francis Kim (Houston, Texas) was tabbed Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. It is the first conference accolade of the season for the Midshipmen and the first of Kim’s career.
Kim recorded a majority of minutes at goal for the Midshipmen in a pair of MAWPC matches over the weekend, helping Navy to a 1-1 record. The junior registered double-digit saves in both matches for the Mids, notching 11 stops against Wagner, before tallying 14 saves in a win against Johns Hopkins.
