2009-10 (Fr.): Saw action in four tournaments where he placed in a pair ... opened his collegiate career by winning his first tournament, the Central New Jersey Open with a 7-5 decision over princeton's Andrew Lowy in the championship bout ... followed up with a fifth-place finish at the Navy Classic which featured a double overtime win against classmate Jake Schalles ... also competed at the Nittany Lion Open and the Southern Scuffle ... finished his rookie season with an 11-6 record.
