Cowan in 2016-17 (Jr.):  Bumped up a weight class to 157 where he posted a 13-9 record that included a 3-1 dual mark ... claimed dual victories over Delaware Valley’s Anthony Snyder (7-2), Johns Hopkins’ Tommy Grifa (12-3) and George Mason’s Matt Raines (3-2) ... also competed at the Harold Nichols Open, Navy Classic, Franklin & Marshall Open and All-Academy Championship.

2015-16 (So.):  Wrestling at 149 pounds, he posted a 12-9 record that featured a pair of dual victories ... defeated Delaware Valley’s Michael Caldwell, 9-4, and York College’s Isaiah McGowan, 12-5, to open the year in deal action ... won his first four matches at the Michigan State Open (Fr/So Division) en route to a second-place finish ... dropped a 6-1 decision to teammate Corey Wilding in the championship bout ... also competed at the Bearcat Open, Navy Classic, Southern Scuffle and Shorty Hitchcock Memorial.

2014-15 (Fr.):  Owned a 6-6 record in his rookie season where he competed at four tournaments ... produced an 8-2 major decision over Lock Haven’s Joey Ghione at the Clarion Open to earn his first career victory.

High School: A 2014 graduate of The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas, Cowan was a four-year wrestling letterwinner who was a two-time All-American ... also a three-time All-State (Texas) and four-time all-conference selection ... placed eighth at the prep nationals his junior year and third his senior year.

Personal: Son of Ken and Sandie Cowan ... majoring in Systems Engineering ... named to the Commandant’s List three times, including the fall of his junior year ... stands 406th in Military Order of Merit among his 1,088 classmates.
